About WoWStats.io
WoWStats.io is an independent World of Warcraft information project built to make public game data easier to explore, compare and understand. It combines statistics, practical tools, editorial guides and news in one place while clearly separating measured data from estimates and editorial opinion.
What you can find here
The site provides regional and realm-level views of tracked World of Warcraft characters, class and race representation, primary profession choices, current PvP leaderboard representation and observed PvE talent choices. It also tracks regional WoW Token prices and publishes guides, articles and tools for supported versions of the game.
Retail statistics currently cover public data from the EU, US, Korea and Taiwan regions. Editorial sections for Retail, Remix, Classic and Forever are kept separate so information from one version of World of Warcraft is not presented as if it applied to another.
Where the statistics come from
WoWStats.io uses official Blizzard APIs and publicly available World of Warcraft data. Characters are discovered through sources such as Mythic+ and PvP leaderboards and other public game-profile relationships. The service stores selected public character attributes needed to build aggregated statistics, such as region, realm, class, specialization, race, level, profession and leaderboard or activity context.
A tracked character represents a public in-game character profile—not a unique player, Battle.net account or active subscription. One person may own many characters, while private, inactive or undiscovered profiles may not appear at all. For that reason, figures shown on WoWStats.io should be read as statistics for the tracked sample, not as Blizzard's complete player population.
How the data is maintained
Automated collectors refresh data in controlled regional batches. Results can be affected by API availability, rate limits, profile privacy, regional sample size and the time at which a snapshot was generated. Where possible, duplicate discovery paths are merged and statistics pages display their sample size so comparisons can be interpreted in context.
WoWStats.io does not claim that a popular class, profession or talent is automatically the best choice. Statistics describe what was observed in the available sample; they do not replace encounter-specific advice, simulations, official game information or personal judgment.
Editorial approach
Guides and articles aim to be practical, clearly scoped and easy to verify. Game versions and content types are labeled to reduce the chance of outdated or cross-version advice being mistaken for current information. Data-driven pages and editorial content serve different purposes, and the site aims to make that distinction visible.
