These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of WoWStats.io, including its statistics, articles, guides, tools and other content. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

WoWStats.io is an independent fan-operated information service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment.

1. Purpose of the service

WoWStats.io organizes public World of Warcraft information into statistical views and publishes related editorial content and tools. The service is intended for general informational, entertainment and research purposes. It is not an official source of Blizzard data and does not provide financial, legal or professional advice.

2. Eligibility and use by minors

You may use the public site without creating an account. If you are not legally able to accept these Terms on your own, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. The site does not sell products or knowingly request sensitive personal information from children.

3. Permission to use the site

Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the site for lawful personal, community, editorial and reasonable research purposes. You may link to public pages and quote limited portions of original text when you provide appropriate attribution and do not imply endorsement.

You may not:

  • use the site in violation of applicable law or the rights of another person;
  • attempt to bypass security, access controls, rate limits or technical restrictions;
  • interfere with the operation of the site, introduce malicious code or perform denial-of-service activity;
  • use automated requests at a volume that degrades the service or creates unreasonable infrastructure costs;
  • misrepresent WoWStats.io content as official Blizzard information or suggest an affiliation that does not exist;
  • copy, republish or commercially exploit substantial parts of the site, its original editorial content or its compiled database without permission or another valid legal basis;
  • use the site to identify, harass, profile or target a real person behind an in-game character.

4. Statistics and public game data

Statistics are generated from tracked public game profiles and official API responses available to the project. A tracked character is not the same as a unique player, Battle.net account, subscriber or active user. Samples can differ by region and over time.

Data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated at source, unavailable, affected by profile privacy settings or changed by game updates. API interruptions, rate limits, caching and processing schedules can also affect results. We may correct, refresh, aggregate or remove records without notice when needed to improve quality, honor a valid request or maintain the service.

5. Guides, articles and tools

Guides and articles may become outdated after patches, hotfixes, season changes or expansion updates. Calculators and other tools provide estimates based on their stated inputs and assumptions. You remain responsible for checking current in-game information and deciding how to use any result.

6. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, WoWStats.io owns or licenses the site's original text, layout, software, branding and compilation of data. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. Public facts and third-party materials remain subject to the rights and rules applicable to those materials.

World of Warcraft, Warcraft, Blizzard, Battle.net and related names, logos, images and game assets are trademarks, copyrights or other property of Blizzard Entertainment and its licensors. All such rights remain with their respective owners. Their appearance on this site is for identification, commentary and fan-information purposes and does not indicate sponsorship or endorsement.

7. Advertising and third-party services

The site may display advertising and use services supplied by third parties, including Google. Advertisers and third-party providers are responsible for their own content, products, services and data practices. The appearance of an advertisement does not constitute a recommendation or guarantee by WoWStats.io.

The site may also link to or embed third-party websites and content. We do not control their availability, security, accuracy or terms. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

8. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, temporarily or permanently. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage of any statistic or continued support for a particular game version, region, endpoint or feature. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the site will always be available, secure or error-free, or that any statistic, guide, price, ranking, calculation or third-party content will be complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WoWStats.io and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss caused by reliance on incomplete or outdated data, third-party services, game decisions or interruption of availability.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability arising from intentional misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life or health where applicable, or mandatory consumer-protection law.

11. Reports, corrections and rights requests

You may report an error, infringement concern, security issue or request concerning a public character record through the channel listed on the Contact page. We may request enough information to identify the page or record and, where necessary, verify that a requester is entitled to make the request.

12. Privacy

Our handling of visitor information, analytics, advertising data, messages and public game-profile data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of the information governing use of the site.

13. Suspension and enforcement

We may restrict requests or block access when reasonably necessary to protect the site, other users or third-party systems; respond to unlawful or abusive activity; enforce these Terms; or comply with a legal requirement. Technical restrictions do not waive any other rights or remedies available under law.

14. Applicable law and mandatory rights

These Terms apply subject to mandatory law. Nothing in them deprives a consumer of protections or access to a competent court that cannot be waived under the law applicable in the consumer's country of residence. Where the law permits the parties to choose, disputes should first be raised with the site operator in an effort to resolve them informally.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, providers, business model or applicable requirements. The current version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means the new Terms apply from the date they are published, except where additional notice or consent is legally required.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be applied to the greatest extent permitted and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
